Hello guys,

I had this problem several moments ago. When i was casually browse my laptop, suddenly there's BSOD with the error of Kernel InPage Error. After that, I can't turned on my laptop at all, even when plugged in.

Is there any solution of this? My laptop is Acer Timeline X

Solution
old laptops will have a CMOS battery that lasts about 5 years. when it fails the cmos will go to defaults. You should go into bios and check the system time if it is wrong the batter may have failed and the default sata mode might have changed. If the sata mode changes then the drive can not be read until the correct sata mode is selected.
most laptops will have 3 modes. for the last few years most system would want AHCI mode for the sata controller.
while some BIOS versions still default to IDE mode.

if the battery failed, you have to replace the battery on the laptop motherboard. Sometimes these are really hard to get to. I replaced one with a new 2 dollar battery that took me hours to tear down the machine, put the battery in...
kernel in page error means that the system can not read data from storage.

it can mean that a drive has lost power, or the data cable is disconnected or the actual drive has failed.
for a laptop, sometimes you can bump it just right and disconnect the drive from it connector. But for a old drive/system the drive may have failed to spin up.

After I post this problem, my laptop goes back to normal after using the "hold power button" solution. But I noticed that the time in my laptop is messed up. I know that's CMOS battery is faulting up. However, on the next day, my laptop suffers the same problem... again
