Hi,I would be soo happy if someone is gonna help me
My problem is that one of my ram slots on my mobo stopped functioning before 2 days
I was playing Fortnite and randomly my pc crashed and it was restarting like every 2 seconds. I see the fans moving then stopping every single 2 seconds . I disconnected my pc from the power outlet and then everytime I turn it on it just keeps restarting before even booting which was annoying.I cleared the cmos by every way.I had 2 ram sticks and when I placed in the 2 & 4 memory slots but now it doesnt work that way. When both the sticks are placed in the 2 and 4 slots my pc keeps restarting over and over .......
I plugged the ram slots into the ram slots 2 & 3 it worked but I dont know if it uses the dual channel thingy for fast processing.....
So could it be a defective ram slot?
Thanks

It could be. I would try 1 stick of RAM in every single slot, and see what results you get.

Dual Channel RAM slots will be according to your motherboard. So for them to work in dual channel, the 2 RAM modules need to be in the RAM slots of the same colour. I suspect 2&3 are different channels. It is usually 1+3 with 2+4 or 1+2 with 3+4.

It could be a number of things, could be a CPU problem, could simply be a fault with the RAM slot or the Memory controller. Could also be worth making sure your BIOS is up to date.

Also, do you have mixed memory kits? Mixed RAM can easily cause this kind of problem.
