I have gigabyte H81M-S rev1.0 Motherboard with i3 4130 3.4 Ghz. Planning to buy an i5 4440 3.1Ghz. I want to know upgrade from i3 4130 to i5 4440 is worthy or not in terms of gaming performance.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've actually done something very similar. I recently upgraded from an i3 4160 to an i5 4690 (non-K) and have a GTX1060 3GB as well. It is much better in games that can use the extra power (eg BF4, R6S) but obviously doesn't do much for games where the i3 is powerful enough (eg War Thunder, Assetto Corsa etc). I was actually surprised on how powerful it is, games where the i3 was pegged at 100%, sit around 75% on the i5 and I'm able to fully utilize the the 1060 which is great.

I would fully recommend the upgrade but just keep in mind that you won't notice a difference as much as a new GPU, but in games where your CPU is no longer keeping up, it is a great upgrade.
