I own a pentium G3258 based PC, for the past 4 years actually. It's served me really well for playing MMORPG games, but its starting to lag on newer titles and i was wondering if its worth upgrading to an i5 or i7 k series. The cheapes i7 4790k i can find here is around 150 euros with some luck.
My PC specs:
Intel Pentium G3258 4.8Ghz
Asus Maximus hero VI z87 mobo
GTX 1050ti GPU
Samsung 250gb EVO SSD
Thermalright True spirit 140 cooler
I am not a power user so i always buy something cheap to last me for a few years. Back in 2018 i only paid 130 euros for the maximus and pentium combo. So im looking to spend as little as possible to keep the system going for awhile. If its really not worth the money then upgrading to a newer socket should be the only option..
