I have a self-built pc (details below) which shuts down mid-game while specifically playing Overwatch (it's probably the most demanding game on my PC right now). It's around 4-5 months old at this point.
I recently changed my power supply to a Corsair RMX 850w as a possible solution, but the issue persists. After some more digging, I changed the thermal paste which also failed to solve my issue. I'm dreading the idea that there's an issue with my GPU or CPU specifically, so I'm hoping someone can offer other possible solutions that might fix things before it comes to that.
I've checked temps with core temp and CPUID HWMonitor and nothing struck me as alarming. Around 60C for all cores and 65-70C on the GPU. I'm not really adept at troubleshooting so any help would be appreciated at this point.
Thanks in advance!
CPU: i7-7700K Kaby Lake @ 4.20GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti
OS: Windows 10
RAM: 2x 16GB (32GB)
