I’ve been planning a Ryzen build sometime soon, and I’ve been seeing discussions about RAM speeds for Ryzen depending on your GPU. My planned specs are:
Ryzen 5 1600
ASRock B350 Motherboard
8Gb of some RAM
GTX 1050 Ti

I will be mostly gaming and some basic video editing on this machine. I won’t be streaming and I only have one monitor (If that matters). I’m mostly looking for the cheapest 8Gb kit I can find, but I’m not sure what speeds to look for.
Any help would be appreciated!

Solution
2666 is at least while 3200 preferred. I will get this if 8gb:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws 4 Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($94.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $94.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Or 16 gb:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($165.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $165.99

I’m trying to keep the price as low as possible, but the RAM is one thing I would be willing to splurge on. I do live in the U.S. and I will be putting an SSD in as well.
