I recently upgraded my PC by replacing my mobo, CPU and RAM. I went with an ROG Strix Z370-H, an i5 8600k and 16gb G Skill Trident Z RAM.
After constructing the base of my new system using my old EVGA Superclocked 2.0 970 (which I've been using for a few years without any fail whatsoever), the system would not post at all although my CPU air cooler fan would spin. The GPU fans would repeatedly twitch in a uniform pattern whereas in my old system the fans just spun regularly from startup. I am fairly sure that it is a problem with the motherboard but has anyone had a similar problem or can anyone tell me what I've done wrong. The mobo has a light which tells me that it is getting power and the lighting on the RAM modules is working so I do not think it is that. After the system is on for a while (without post) the CPU is warm/hot so I also know that something is going on with that too.
Someone please help me!
