16GB Ripjaw 1866 running only 1600

I've just together a new system. Gigabyte MB 990XA UD-3 v3.1. 16GB Gskill 4x4GB Red 1.5v each. Ace power supply 950 watt. Dual Ati radeon HD 5970x2 eg 4 GPU. AMD 8530 8 core No turbo boost 4ghz is enough. Cooler master water cooled cpu.. My point is in the memory adjustment for higher ram clocks systems boots ok @ 1600Mhz when 1866mhz is picked system will not boot. Any thoughts. Case is NZXT Hiddern power supply. Main hdd is 4tb nas 7200rpm 2nd is 10tb WD

im guessing 1866 is the speed that the ram is rated to run at? Did you try updating the bios to the latest edition? Try doing that if you can and then report back to base lol

I've changed my timing boosted the vram from 1.5v to 1.520 BIOS is fully updated all formware all drivers the works. My 16gb 4x4 Ripjaw memory 1866 will not run at 1866. Only 1600mhz. Power is ace 750watt cpu amd fx 8350 4ghz no turbo boost its off board is gigabyte 990xa ud3 3.1 dual gpu hd 5970 two cards 4 gpu. 10tb nas hdd 512gb ssd intel sata3 win 7 pro 64bit blu ray rw ect. U.v lighting Nzxt case 27" screen RGB mouse and keyboard. Incase anyone wonders. Cooler master cooler on cpu. 12 fans.
