Fresh install, applied the speedup patches, only have drivers supplied by SP2 and the latest drivers for my GPUs and wifi card.

Everytime i try to update i get stuck at 169 of 189 Important Updates. It’s the April 2017 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0, 4.5.2, 4.6.

Any idea what the problem might be?

Specs:

Core 2 Extreme QX6850 @ 3.0GHz
8GB (4x2GB) Kingston HyperX 800MHz DDR2
EVGA nForce 680i SLI with P33 BIOS
2 x Gigabyte 8800GTX in SLI-mode
2TB WD Black
Corsair Silent Pro M 1000W Bronze PSU

Update: I excluded the .NET rollup that i had trouble with but now i am stuck on another patch. KB2929733. 169 of 188.

Same situation as before, system becomes inoperable. If i try to open task manager it will show an icon in the notification area but won’t show on the desktop.
