I have a MSI Z97 Gaming 9 (not changing boards/sockets). The question is with the board I already have what would be better a NVMSE M.2 Samsung 960 or a NVMSE PCIE Plextor? My board will do NVMSE I already looked into it. But PCIE or M.2 as in which slot would be faster. Right now I am thinking that the PCIE 4 plugged into a PCIE 8 slot would have more lanes than M.2.
