No Display after BIOS update

Hello, I am building a gaming pc using old server parts (Specs below). Cost was very reasonable and it seemed like a fun thing to assemble and to learn about. I recently received all the parts and finally was able to piece it all together. However, I was having an issue with the motherboard in that it was not recognizing the LAN port (at least, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit was not able to). I was unable to connect to the internet on that device. I kept on reading that a BIOS update may help in fixing this issue. I downloaded the BIOS update for this specific mobo (downloaded on a separate PC and made a boot disk on a thumb drive containing the BIOS update files) and installed the update via DOS bootup prompt. The update was 100% successful, giving me the appropriate c:\ line. After rebooting (ctrl alt del), the PC does not display an image. I had it connected directly via my monitor's DVI port onto the GPU. I then connected to the HDMI port to my TV screen - still no image. I then used my DVI-to-VGA adapter to connect directly to the mobo - still no image. The PC boots up and, at first, it only gave me one normal BEEP that would typically occur on startup. I decided to unplug all the ports connected to the mobo (including GPU) for some time; I removed the battery from the mobo as well. After 5 minutes, I put it all back together. Now, on startup, I still have NO image and the PC boot-up gives me TWO BEEPS. I am at a crossroad so any help is legitimately appreciated. Below are my system specs. Thank you.

Mobo: SuperMicro X8DTi-F.
CPU: 2x Intel Xeon 6 Core Processor X5675 3.06GHz.
GPU: EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB PCI-Express x16.
Optical: LG Black BD-Rom 10x DVD-Rom X SATA Internal Blu-Ray Optical Drive UH10LS20.
PSU: 850 watt highly rated PSU. I forgot the brand (I'm currently at work - I don't believe the PSU is the issue).
MEM: 24GB (6 x 4GB) DDR3 ECC REG.
HDD: 1TB SATA Internal drive for storage. OS installed on partitioned Silicon Power 256GB SSD (60GB partition for OS; rest of drive separately partitioned for programs).
Fans: 2x Intel BXSTS100A with Heatsink; 5x 120mm.
Case: Phanteks Enthroo Pro (No Window) with included fans.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

BIOS updated directly from SuperMicro's MOBO download website to BIOS X8DT32.317 / Size (KB): 884 / BIOS Revision: R 2.1

Thank you again!

I can't help you directly, and you of course read the manual:
http://www.supermicro.com/manuals/motherboard/5500/MNL-1062.pdf

I see the board sells for about GBP 70 or lower, if you look for it - just in case...

I'd really contact supermicro about what the beep says.
They are known for very nice support, even to used-mobo-users.
Perhaps ask them first (support@supermicro.com) if there is a forum you can visit.
