Just upgraded to rx 580 OC black from rx 480 and cpu is amd fx 6300 6 core oc to 3.75 ghz.

on rocket league my fps went from 60-70 to 150-200

csgo is like 80-140 and expected over 200 but it just stayed the same.

May i ask what your monitor refresh rate is? Unless you have spent alot of money most are 60hz (60 refreshes per second)...

Dont get sucked into this craze of needing as much FPS as possible, its the biggest waste of time ever. The most important thing you need with FPS is for it to match your monitors refresh rate. Theres no point your GPU rendering 200 frames a sec if your monitor only refreshes 60 times a sec - thats just going to give you serious screen tear.

My GPU could easily give me 200+ FPS but iv locked it to 60FPS because my monitor is 60Hz. Because its locked at 60FPS, it never dips under so theres no fluctuations, it sits at that constantly in sync with monitor so i get quality, judder and tear free graphics!!

Any FPS...

Most likely cpu limited on csgo.
Rocket league enjoyed the new hardware though.
It depends on the game. Some use more cpu, others gpu. Maintaining a balanced system is a must.
Speaking of which, what's your ram, as this can also limit you.

So you're not only cpu limited, you've even mixed 2 different sticks of ram - this can make your system unstable.
Do they even have the same speed and timings? Mixing ram is like taking a shot in the dark... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Run memtest, and tell us whether it passes or not. If it does, you got lucky.

Any FPS over your monitors refresh rate is useless and actually makes the graphics worse

Thanks
