Depends what kind of hardware you already have. Keep in mind that AM4 =/= AM3. No CPUs or RAM will be able to be reused on the new parts.

Two things:

1) It's never a good idea to buy with the intention of upgrading later. Because then you'll be stuck with lots of spare parts you won't have any need or use for. Trust me, I've been there. It's always better to buy once and be done with it.

2) What you want to use it for entirely depends on what monitor resolution you are working with. For 1080P a RX560 should be fine. For anything higher - 1440P or 4K, you will want something much more powerful.

If you want to do so, you might want to also consider 2400g, with the right ram, it’s quite close to a 1500x + rx550

And you can throw in a more powerful video card sometime down the road. Rx560 ‘s price is still a bit inflated. With 2400g if you upgrade with a dgpu, you still ends up with 1500x which is 4c8t cpu.

I5 8400 is the same story, but the graphics are much worse than vega11, yet featuring a mooch more power cpu.

im ok with upgrading instead buying it all at once. Imok with having a spare computer parts lying around incase something goes wrong or needs a bios update or something like that and i could do test and stuff with other one if i ever want to make a desktop for just gaming or one just for rendering animations

with the 2400g i would need to buy another cpu just to update the bios or ask for one from amd but i just want one quick that can handle animation and games and yes everything i do is in 1080p i won't be doing 4k until i get ryzen 1700 or 1500x
