Hey folks. Today has been nothing but struggles and frustrations. About 3 days ago, I ordered an i7 4790k to replace my i5 4690k. It was delivered today and I removed my i5 chip. However, when I inserted the i7 chip and the heat sink, the PC would turn on but no display was shown. Not sure how it happened since I aligned the i7 chip correctly. I then removed the i7 chip again and re inserted the i5 chip and still did not get a display! On top of that, my power button would not light up even though the fans in my case were spinning. At this point, I'm stumped. It's not a PSU issue since my PSU was fine today and works as of me writing this. I think it might be my motherboard as I removed the CPU and my memory sticks and the PC would still turn on with no led on the power button. I'm really in need of help as I don't know what to do. Oh and yes my motherboard is supported and I did update it before I inserted my i7 /:

Motherboard is MSI H81M-E34, GPU is GTX 1080 EVGA FTW, and PSU is EVGA Supernova G3 650W. If any pictures need to be taken, please do tell as I would be happy to oblige. Thank you.

Yes I resetted it a couple of times. The display still would not turn on. Do you have a feeling it's the MB? I mean even with the CPU and RAM removed, I heard zero beeps when I tried to power it on.
