Hi, all!

I recently built my first PC and upon pushing it to full load, i noticed my CPU temp was around 80C, with peaks at 83C. It idles around 36C-40C and hits 60C while gaming.

The build is for 3D animation, physics simulations, and CPU/GPU rendering.
I reached the 80C temp while rendering with all cores.

Is 80C-83C safe for extended periods of time or should i dial back my overclock?

Build:
Asus - PRIME X299-DELUXE ATX LGA2066 Motherboard
Intel - Core i9-7960X 2.8GHz 16-Core Processor (OC to 4.0)
NZXT - Kraken X62 Rev 2 98.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Kingston - HyperX Predator 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Corsair - RMx 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
MSI - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB GAMING X Video Card

Solution
It should be marginally safe for extended periods of time although overclock reduces the component's life span. As long as it is stable and the voltage is safe I'd go for it.
