Right guys, the issue I have is that I've just rebuilt my lads gaming rug, I'll post specs at the end of this thread.
And obviously all his data, info , windows is ,ect, ect is on his 2 current 1tb hdds.
I managed to get hold of a 1tb ssd to add to the upgrades BUT, it was wiped of everything except windows, and I can't delete it off the ssd, windows keeps saying I need permission.
Ideally I'd like the os, and his user profile on the ssd along with application files, and the he'd have his other hdds as additional storage.
Can anyone please advise. I can manage to put parts together and plug things in, but that's about all my PC know-how I'm afraid.
Thanks in advance

how are you trying to delete it off the SSD? are you just opening the drive in windows and trying to delete the windows folder or are you trying to format the drive?

On windows, but even though windows opens off the original HD, says I haven't got permission to make changes, I've checked this and I'm admin?so don't understand, also says i can't make changes to a device that's in use.

Could this please be explained to me in layman's terms ( sorry) like I said, I can put the rig together, but as far as moving files knowing what to do with programs is beyond me...I'm trying to learn but at the moment...... my end goal is to delete the os that is on the ssd......move his windows os and any user profiles from his existing HD to the ssd, and then maybe some of the game applications like steam ect to the ssd..
