Help with prebuilt

Looking for advice on a prebuilt system. I’ve been out of the “game”, so to speak, for a little bit so I’m rusty on what to look for. I’ve built two systems in the past, many moons ago, but it looks like it’d be cheaper to buy prebuilt at the moment.

I haven’t dabbled in VR, but it is something I am interested in so I would like to have it be “vr ready”. 4K gaming is not a need right now, but It seems 1440 is a nice in-between at the moment.

I’d need a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers as well. It’d be used for gaming, multimedia, browsing, etc... I’d like not to spend more than $2,000. Don’t need a bunch of flashy colors or lights either. I’d also like to be able to upgrade it in the future.

Thanks for the help.

Just to share some experience or the type of hardware you are expecting from your budget,
My frd recently got a computer from bestbuy, dell desktop.

Intel i7 8700, 16gb, 256ssd and 1tb storage and 1070 for 1699 cad or roughly 1350 usd. Which is a really decent system. And that’s the hardware expectation in pc in that $1300-1400 price range. Leaving you about 600 for a nice monitor 1440p 60 hz, keyboard/mouse/speaker. Graphics card wise, Expect another $300 to upgrade graphic card to a 1080 on the prebuilt system.

Cheers.

This is what you get for that budget.
Good balanced build that can be utilized for longer period of time without requirement of performance upgrade.

Anything prebuilt similar to that that you would recommend? Don’t have as much time as I see to to build a machine myself.
