So i was planning to build a new pc with the new raven ridge (r5 2400g) and a GTX 1050ti. But this question came through my mind. Will it be compatible if i pair an APU with a GPU? Do i have to change from Integrated GPU to Dedicated GPU in the BIOS?

Solution
Arguably, buying the 2200g as a budget CPU then pairing it with a videocard makes sense, because it's only $99. The 2400g on the other hand costs substantially more. If you know you will be using a videocard with it, then I can see no reason you'd choose a 2400g. The main benefit to a 2400g is being able to use the upgraded Vega graphics.

I realize the 2400g is clocked higher than a Ryzen 5 1400, but paired with a 1050 Ti at 1080p it won't make any difference.
