Hi, i want to do some good and stable OC to my i5, but i little new in that.
i put to 4,2ghz and 1.25V, turn off "intel turbo" and put "Adaptive Voltage", do some stress and play for hours and all its fine.

Reading posts other people with my CPU, i see my Voltage is a little high for only 4,2ghz, i think i will try with the same voltage with 4,4ghz, but i dont want a high OC, i want good simple and stable OC.

With 4,2ghz OC in AIDA Stress i have max temperature of 52°, i have good liquid Cooler and few fans on my system.

My question is:
*Can i go to 4,4ghz or its very high OC?
*Or stay with 4,2ghz and try with less voltage? And what approximate Voltage its gonna be good?

My PC:
Intel Core i5-6600K
MSI z270 Gaming Pro Carbon
Cooler: Aeroocol P7-l240 RGB
Kingston HyperX Fury(2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133
MSI GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G 750w RGB GOLD

Thanks.

Set to auto its not recomended, in auto PC take what he want and probably you have high voltage reducing you durability of you components, especially with 4,5ghz
I not expert but i read a lot of OC and auto voltage with OC is dangerous.

I’m running 4.5 ghz at 1.30V on a z270, no issue so far, gaming temp is about 55-60C.

I have issue with auto oc profile, and auto voltage beyond 4.2ghz, system would just freeze, manually setting the voltage and setting llc to medium helped a lot.

Yesterday i put 4,4ghz 1.26V an get stable on Prime95 small fft test stress. With minimal Voltage you helping a lot you system and temperatures.

In test stress Prime95 i have 65°, playing games like "For Honor, Domion Mod" stay under 45°

I Turn Off "Intel Turbo" and Turn On "Adaptive Voltage" to dont have MAX Clock Speed and Voltage all time, doing this i have normal Clock and Voltage according to cpu load.

urbancamper You have 4,5ghz with 1.35v that voltage according to another people with the same cpu its a little high.

And for my opinion i think that voltage its high, its OK, but i prefer the lowest voltage for my CPU depending on what Clock Speed you OC it
