SSD vs Optane Memory?

What would you rather have for the same price?

A desktop with:

256GB PCIe x4 SSD + 1TB 7200RPM HDD
AMD Radeon™ RX 560 with 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Memory

OR

A desktop with:

16GB Intel® Optane™ memory accelerated 1TB 7200 RPM HDD
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050Ti with 4GB GDDR5 Graphics Memory

I'm considering a dual drive Dell but a chat rep says Windows comes installed on the HDD, not the SSD. I don't know if I want the hassle of moving it. If I opt for Optane memory, I'd save $50 and could get more expensive GPU.

Any thoughts?

i would say get the 256 gb ssd, Optane is good as a ssd in this context, you want a real ssd instead of a ssd speed cache. Check your system configurator, in Canadian dell site, the two option costs the same and you can interchange them at $0.
