OBS Studio Recording Laggy/Choppy

Hi,
I've recently got a new pc with these specs:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
RAM - 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz
GPU - AMD R9 270X

I got OBS Studio to record PAYDAY 2 gameplay, the game itself doesn't lag or stutter but the video does. I've tried different encoders, framerates etc and none of it has worked. I don't know what to do.

Your CPU is rather under powered if you are attempting to do any kind of software encoding. Also, check if your recording drive is keeping up, or hitting high usage during the recording sessions.

I would recommend trying AMD's Relive software and see if anything improves, but other than that, the most obvious solution is get hardware that can handle the task, or invest in dedicated recording hardware.

Thanks for the reply. The problem has only occurred recently it was fine for about a month.
