Can someone please help me out with this Dell Latitude 6410 please. I bought the laptop at auction and it did not have an HDD but it did have the ram. I installed the HDD and began the OS installation and I would get the BSOD (blue screen of death) with the PFN_LIST_Corrupt error. I do know that this is possibly a hardware issue or BIOS issue so I booted and entered BIOS and ran the Dell Diagnostic Test. All of the testing passed all the way up to the Memory Test and the Memory Test Activity has stalled or frozen about 2/3's of the way through it. I know that at this point I would shut down the laptop and just install a different RAM module and reboot and see if the error goes away and the installation goes through but I do not have a RAM module and just cannot spare the $ to buy one right now so.....just wondering if maybe there is a different fix for this or does it sound like it is indeed in the RAM or any info would be really appreciated.

If you need more info please message me and I will do whatever necessary to help you guys help me. Thank you so much for taking the time.

Solution
I would DEFINITELY focus on the RAM. ...and it's unfortunate you don't have the cash for the RAM....but buying RAM and swapping it in is BY FAR the easiest way to determine if it is indeed your problem.

Thanks for the input and yes it was the RAM... also, what I meant was that i did not have the 700 bucks for a new laptop, i was able to afford the ram lol, 23 bucks but I meant to say was that I could not spare the money to buy a new laptop anyway....thanks for the input and again, it was the RAM.
