Hello guys, dont know if it was asked before but I need opinions.

I got MSI 970 Gaming motherboard and at the moment I have installed an 8gb Kingston Furyx 1866Hz stick in slot 2.

I am waiting a RMA from kingston about a Furyx 1600Hz which Im planning to install in slot 1 , Im not dual channeling them obviously they are way different and not a kit.

Question is this: OC memory in bios with DRAM Frequency (Im assuming its for all sticks installed as common setting right?) and planning to get it to 1866Hz so instead of downcloaking the 1866 to OC the 1600.

I know it will be tricky as the obvious way to get two different sticks with different frequencies is to let Bios to downgrade the higher one to the lower one but still my questions are those:

1)The setting about oc DRAM Freq, in bios works for all sticks and not seperately as a global ram setting?

2)If the above is "yes" setting it to 1866 will OC the low ram to the high ram, whats your opinion about it? anyone had any experience with that?

All my OC experience since way back was always to a single stick so before I start experimenting I wanted to ask first.

Thanks for reading in advance.
