Port forwarding issues
i want to portforward and NOT use any LAN simulators , no programs just copy-pasting from my friends' side.So im playing diablo 2 LOD 1.14D and i have tried i believe a load of things. i will not go into typing all of them as that will result in my hand muscles to die

i hope its not forbidden to paste an other link forum.. please ask for my teamviewer if you want , i will be happy to cooperate through that , theres even a manual for my router if you look in the post
oh yeah and what is the correct way of simulating a friend in my pc trying to join the hosted game ? maybe sandboxing the second LOD instance ? not sure. thanks in advance!
ps : i mean id say i did everything right , but thats what everybody says when they port forward

Do I understand correctly that you used "Copy" and "Paste" to configure port forwarding on your router?

And from a remote computer ("friends' side").

If so, there is a very good chance that your copy and pasting picked up other "characters" (some invisible) that went into your router's configuration fields and your router, of course, does not understand the data.

What is your make and model router? What router does your friend have?

Use your router's manual and follow the "port forwarding" instructions provided therein.

Unfortunately, you will have to directly type in the data fields and otherwise configure your router via the checkboxes, dropdown lists, etc..

There really is not that much typing involved.

Most issues are related to getting the configuration settings correct with respect to your network. Not your friend's network.

Imitating your friends' router is not going to work - even if the routers are identical.
