I am recently having some strange artifacts on screen since 2 3 days, i have gtx 750ti msi oc editon and its 2 and a half years old. When the artifacts shows up i loose control of input devices.. Nothing works.. So i attempt restart... After restart the artifacts go away... But after some time it appears again.. I built new system excluding the gpu 6months ago...
My specs
Cpu-ryzen 7 1700
Ram-16gb 2400mhz
Mobo-msi b350
Psu-cooler master materwatt lite 500 watt
What could be the reason for those artifacts?
Here is the picture of the artifact-

Yes - it may indicate I say, that is on my short list, but is not conclusive there may as well be a faulty ram or mobo. That is because power cut may in some few circumstances generate sharp voltage peaks that kill the psu. Also I have had computers that I have acted as if RAM was failing, but instead it turned out that psu was bad.

What you can try first is to run the computer using Memtest. That will tell you if there is problems with RAM. If several test conducted repports consistently of same memory addresses, that strongly indicate that it is RAM that is bad after all. If the memory addresses is not consistent after several tests, it is likely to be a problem with mobo (capacitors) or psu.

Yes, the artifacts appears also when the computer is idle.. and even when the gpu is not on heavy load... and this first happened after a sudden power cut... 2 or 3 days ago
