I want to build my first ever gaming/work PC. My friend has been helping me set up the list of things I need to buy, but I'd like multiply people's intputs on the different components going into the PC. I just don't want to get ripped off.
Here's what my friend put together

CPU: ryzen 5 1600 (my friend said something about getting a good couple and then building around it, but I don't know)

Motherboard:MSI-B350M GAMING PRO Micro ATX AM4

Video card: MSI-GeForce GTX 1050ti
Memory:G.Skill-Ripjaws V series 16gb

Storage:Western digital 1TB hard drive

Case:(I picked it because it looked cool) Corsair - SPEC ALPHA (black/red)
(Haven't really found parts for wireless internet)
power supply- EVGA -500W 80+ Bronze certificate ATX
If anyone has a build much better for cheap then feel free to leave the PC parts.
Thank you!

If you are planning just for gaming go with the intel build indeed, but I wouldn't use a z370 board since now there are cheaper boards, no need for it since i5-8400 cannot overclock, since you mention gaming go with the ryzen(lose some fps not really much like 5 tops, however for the working part it will deliver way more than intel).
About how to basically put wireless on the pc, you can either get a network card which can go from 25 dolars to 40 if you want Bluetooth too, however there is also a better option there are some z370 boards for Ryzen that come with built in wifi already set up.

The parts you posted are fine as well. The question is, how much is he quoting you for that? Also, what is your price range? + what do you want the system for?
