It's a P5B for sure. I didn't open up the case to see if there's any version/variant # etched into the board. I built this years ago and still have the P5B User Guide. You're correct, though, the User Guide states the CPU type you mention above, but it accepted the AMD CPU I installed and the 12GB ram. Here's what the BIOS shows:

Anyway, I didn't realize this is a 10-year old mobo (time flies!) - so I'm not going to dink around with it. I'll build up a new one.
Do you have a recommendation of a board/CPU I can replace this with? The only online game I play is World of Tanks - other than that I'm not a rapid gamer. My video card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
