Slow WiFi Speeds With Google Wifi, Despite High Speed Reported

So I'm having some massive speed issues using google wifi. On all the devices I've tested (Phone, Laptop, Desktop), I'm seeing less than 4Mbps downloads, when the Google Wifi app itself is telling me I have the proper ~150Mbps downloads I pay Comcast for. No matter whether I'm right next to the primary access point, connected to one of the meshes, even wired into the primary over ethernet, my internet speed is super slow, and has been lately despite the high speed rating from the app. I'm wondering what could be causing this, and if anyone has a solution. Thanks for any help available.
 
1. check limits on router. There is a setting that split connection between devices if you pay for 150 then you have 75 for 2 devices, 50 for 3 devices ETC. Check your plan from operator, make sure you actually have more than 4 Mbps in outgoing connection.
If wifi say 150 Mbps it means it's top speed to router, not whole internet. Replace RJ45 cable from router to modem, its cheap and possible problem. Make sure its cat5e or cat6 cable. Maybe even cat6A if its long cable.

So this isn't something that happened out of the box, it's been giving me the proper speeds using the in the box Ethernet cable from modem to primary router, and even with over 10 devices connected to the network. This sudden decrease in speed doesn't seem to be a hardware issue, and I'm running the factory settings for everything besides basic network set up (name, password).
 
How is this not a hardware issue?

You say ETHERNET is slow now, and multiple devices have problems.

You either have a problem between the ROUTER and the ISP or the ROUTER itself is defective.

(I don't know what Chromecast is supposed to work, but I use "SPEEDTEST" with my PC which talks to a server so it verifies my upload/download bottleneck through my ISP. Just Google that. Try that then try a few different sites to download files to verify download speed).

*I am a bit confused... you can't download very fast, even with Ethernet yet "Chromecast" says things are good?

Either way, not sure how it's anything other than the router.

Interestingly, 802.11a products hit the market before 802.11a, which was approved at the same time but didn’t hit the market until later.

its lowest standard supported. I think router/ device might downgrade the standard to this. with 11 Mbps for upload/download something around 4.3 Mbps would be possible.

also please check if its 4 MB/s or 4 Mbps
if its 4MB/s its g standard

I have no clue where you got Chromecast from, as I didn't mention it anywhere. I said that the Google WiFi app, the software that allows you to control and monitor Google WiFi, was reporting back as me having my proper ~150Mbps download speeds. This is what initially lead me to believe it wasn't a hardware issue, as no changes have been made to the hardware setup and yet everything is slower. Your point about the wired connection being slower is a good one though, and rather strange.

So this is going to sound incredibly dumb, but thanks everyone for the suggestions. I forgot to do a very basic troubleshooting step: reset my modem. Doing so completely fixed the issue, and I have to admit, I'm kicking myself right now
