if i have a 144hz monitor and a nvidia gpu will i only get 60fps?

so, i bought myself a AOC g2460pf which has freesync, and i have a gtx 1050 ti i only realised that after i bought the item.
Does that mean i will only get 60fps? and cannot fully use the monitor properly? someone please explain ):

No, you will not be able to use it properly. G-sync works with Nvidia but it also a LOT more expensive. Apart from that feature not working the monitor will work jut fine. It will not restrict your frame rate.

I really don't agree with the refresh rate. Sure, G-ync(if you exchange your monitor) will help when your FPS falls below the monitor's refresh rate but won't that be all the time with a lower end card like the 1050 ti? I'd choose a 75Hz 1440p monitor. A 144Hz monitor i usually reserved for...

In your Nvidia control panel you can choose adaptive sync.
