I want to upgrade storage by buying an M.2 960 evo ssd, but on the motherboard's support page (msi b350 tomahawk) it says that the 960 evo is only compatible with PCI-E M2. But on PcPartPicker it says that it's compatible. Should I trust PcPartPicker ?

Solution
No. It means that the motherboards m.2 slot will be in pcie mode rather then in sata mode.
M.2 can be sata, pcie, or both. 'Both' allows you to run either type of m.2 drive in it.
