Hello!

As the tittle says, after I press the power button on my PC, absolutely nothing happens(no fans spinning, no lights, nothing being displayed on monitors;basically the pc stays turned off) for a good 2 minutes or more. After that, it boots up normally. I have tried fast and ultra-fast boot to no avail.

Specs:
* SSD: Kingston A400 120GB SATA-III
* HDD: Seagate ST1000DM003
* RAM: HyperX Predator Black 8GB DDR4 3000MHz x2
* Power Supply: Seasonic Focus+, 80+ Gold, 650W
* MB: GIGABYTE Z370P-D3
* GPU: ASUS 1080 Strix
* CPU: i5 8400

Thank you in advance!

I had this problem on an old IBM laptop. It was the mother board failing. Another brand, it was a bad stick of ram. Took out the bad stick and it started fine. Yet another, it was the power supply not providing enough power to the laptop.

How dirty is it inside your case? You could have dust goblins shorting out your motherboard. Try opening case and giving everything a good cleaning and see if this helps. If not its 50/50 psu/motherboard. Try using another psu to fire up the motherboard. iIf it fires up then problem solved.

I am keeping the case quite clean, there is barely a very thin layer of dust at any given time. I have also performed a paperclip test with my PSU and it worked fine, so the PSU might actually be fine. As for testing another PSU, that will take me a few days, until I get some free time. I'll keep you guys posted.
