I looking for a 1080p60 gaming experience, what do you recommend? I was looking forward to getting the GTX1060, but I found the GTX 1070mini for a good price, now I'm so confused! (is the mini version worth it?)

Solution
The worst performing 1070 will still perform better than the best performing 1060. Smaller GPU's cooling typically is not as good as a full size, but the difference in cooling is not as great as the difference between a 1070 and 1060. If the 1070 is priced close to the 1060, then I would go for it.

With that being said, the 1060 6gb is a good card for 1080p/60hz gaming and the 1070 is going to be overkill for 1080p/60hz. So if the 1060 is a good bit cheaper, then it would be the better buy unless you want to move into a high refresh rate monitor (which I highly recommend).

Admirable
Price is the key point of it. The 1070 should be relatively more expensive, as a result is better than the 1060 in all aspects, the normal 1070 that is...

The mini version, still got the same amount of power inside it, it's just... Mini. Smaller, reduced amount of cooling system, therefore louder due the increased charge on a single or fewer coolers and sometimes even hotter. But as power is concerned, it's the same.

So, in addition to the comment above, IMHO i'd get the 1070 as well if the price isn't much and you're fine with a little bit of noise

the gap in price between any version of the GTX1070 and the GTX1070 mini is very wide, and you can say that the 1060 and the 1070 mini is about the same price. I'm not looking to Overclock the mini if i'll get it.
will I get more FPS with the mini rather with the 1060 Gaming X???
