separate 8pin & 6pin cables, or single 8pin + 6pin cable better? EVGA 1300 PSU

Hi,

I have a EVGA 1300 G2 power supply and two EVGA GTX 980 ti SC+ cards (these have 6pin and 8pin power input per card).

With the power supply it comes with four 8(6+2)-Pin PCI-E VGA Cables, and also two 6-Pin + 8(6+2)-Pin PCI-E VGA Cables.

So I could either hook up each graphics card with one single 6-Pin + 8(6+2)-Pin PCI-E VGA Cable, or two 8(6+2)-Pin PCI-E VGA Cables, but which is the better setup?

My guess would be that more cables are better than less, but am I right?

I've tried to find an answer to this online and can't find an answer so hoping you can help.

Thanks!
Richie

thanks for your reply. I'll use the more cables option then, so for each card I'll use two 8(6+2)-Pin PCI-E VGA Cables, and so totalling 4 cables for installing the two graphics card.

but if it doesn't matter to use one single 6-Pin + 8(6+2)-Pin PCI-E VGA Cable per card please let me know as this would be better for case airflow I guess.

Thanks!
