i think it might be related to the cold since i open the window over extended periods of time in cold canadian weather. the noise is very quiet though, exactly as loud as a HDD. just wanting to make sure everything is ok.
Well....it's probably just the fan...and the cold is making the bearings contract or something like that. The main thing is that it's spinning good. I've known of fans that made noise for years.
