Not able to convert boot disk to dynamic

I tried to convert my GPT boot disk to dynamic GPT - it throws this error: "The selected GPT formatted disk contains a partition which is not of type
'PARTITION_BASIC_DATA_GUID', and is both preceeded and followed by a partition
of type 'PARTITION_BASIC_DATA_GUID'."
I've been trying to set up a mirror to my other identical HGST 4TB drive for redundancy.
The second, completely unallocated drive converts to dynamic GPT no problem.
(This is a HP Compaq 6000 MT PC with Legacy BIOS only and the SD Card boot to GPT hack, if that helps)

Solution
1:The Boot disk cannot be Dynamic.

2: You may not even want a mirror as the only thing it protects you from is the boot drive failing. All other issues, such a viruses, Accidental Deletions or formatting, hackers encrypting your drive, fire, damaging electrical events... will all happen to the mirror at the same time. You will find many here, besides me, who would rather your put the 4tb into an external enclosure and create regular backups of the main drive to it. This protects you from all of Raid 0 & Raid 1's shortcomings.

There are much better ways to protect your data, other than a direct mirror of that drive.

And you can't do it the way you're trying to anyway.
