BSOD while gaming

Greetings fellow earthlings,

Recently I've been getting the BSOD while playing or exiting a game. Usually more graphics intensive games like Just Cause 3 and ARK. It doesn't happen all that often (1 out of 10 times) but when it does, it usually happens after 1-2 hours of gameplay. Usually the game stops responding and gives me a BSOD several seconds later. It has given me a few different types of errors, the most common one being VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR.

Thing is, the laptop is still quite new (bit more than a month). I've updated all the GPU drivers and the bios and I scan for viruses on the daily. I tried multiple fixes including running the "sfc scannow" in cmd, running Windows Memory Diagnostics and some other common fixes. I could probably try returning it (even though I bought it online and the supplier is 1,400+ km away) but I doubt a BSOD will be valid.

I don't think it has anything to do with intensity of the graphics though, since I set ARK on low and limited it to 30 fps even though it can reach 180 fps and it still crashes at times.

One thing that I can think of at the top of my head is the fact that my battery level stays between 95% and 99% and it says "Plugged in, not charging" even though my adapter is in its socket. This hasn't really affected the performance in any way, just a minor detail.

Laptop:

ASUS ROG GL553VD (https://www.asus.com/za/Laptops/ROG-GL553VD/)

Specs:

CPU - Intel Core i5-7300HQ
RAM - 12 GB
OS - Windows 10 Pro
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

*I'm still very new at this and made an account specifically for this problem. Let me know if I have the wrong category etc.*

Any help will be much appreciated,
Thanks

Did a clean installation and got a VIDEO_TDR_ERROR while playing Skyrim. Retried a clean installation and haven't gotten any bsod since, could still be a problem though.

Hi, quick update:

Doing a clean install a second time (using GeForce Experience) stopped the VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR from happening and everything was fine for a while. Now I have do deal with the VIDEO_TDR_ERROR but after using the chkdsk /f command it stopped it.

There are still other solutions for this problem in case it happens again. I'll post again if something happens.

I reset my PC and the errors stopped for a week and my performance improved significantly. This time the BSOD just flashed past so I couldn't even see what was wrong.
