Dell poweredge r610 as a game server

Hello everyone,

I'm thinking to run a server for me and some friends (max. 5persons).
I found an second handed r610 with:
1x Xeon l5640
24 gb's of ddr3 ram
With idrac
With 2x 750W
And with alot of storage for only 240 euro's
I would like to run 1 game server at the time for games like : Minecraft modded, ark, ...
And also use it as a network back system.

Check what are hardware requirements for the game servers you want to run.
Make sure you check also software requirements. You'll need either a Windows license, or to know a little bit of Linux.
Last but not least - your Internet connection must have enough bandwidth to support the game(s).

The most game servers i want to run likes single core speed the most.
I can buy Windows 10 (pro) for very cheap.
My internet is 100 down , 40up

This is a thin rackmount system?

Hope you have a remote room to mount it in, because it is NOT quiet.

I Know it Will not be quit cause it's a think rackmount system. But we have some empty rooms in our house were i can put it
