New Motherboard and processor, nothing working

I just got a new motherboard and processor and nothing is working. All the lights and fans turn on, but nothing else happens. Keyboard and mouse will not work in USB 3.0 or 2.0 slots, while they worked before on old motherboard and processor. HDMI, display port, and DVI do not work on GPU or motherboard. GPU was working fine on old motherboard. Does not beep even when there is no RAM. I have no idea what to do and I really don't want to have to replace the motherboard.

specs:
Processor: 8th gen i5-8600K
motherboard: ASUS prime Z370-A
RAM: ballistix sport 8GB DDR4-2400
GPU: geforce gtx 970

Solution

Try leaving single RAM module installed. Test each RAm slot on the board.

thats funny I was going to post to make sure your ram is all the way in. I just did a pc build to replace and old pc. the old pc became a server but i did a major cleanup on it, can't believe with all the dust in it it was running so cool.

anyways got everything cleaned up (almost looks like a new pc not one pushing 8 years) and the moment of truth and nothing happened.

was for sure it was something with the graphics card, confounded me for a bit then i noticed on the motherboard the ram light was red (not sure if all motherboards have that or not) there was no beeps or even error code on its code display.

i had one ram chip just not in all the way. pushed it in and bam the pc booted just fine.

given what its being used for not even bothering to over clock the 2600k like it was before.

can't wait for ram prices to come down for the new pc just don't like having only 8gigs of ram.
