Want input on components for new Gaming Rig. Not rich but I want to spend around $1000 minus GPU’s.

What type of FPS should I be shooting for to truly compete online in Battle Royale type games and such? Keep this in mind upon recommendations.

Case
Mobo
CPU
Psu
Memory
Cooling
BlueRay
Storage ssd/hdd’s?

I also want my mobo to have dual GPU capability or better. Should I spend more money on mobo with more than dual GPU capability?(Future Proof)

Oh yeah I'm going to be using my current gtx 980 ti in this build until i can save the money for better dual gpu set up.

If I forgot anything besides peripherals just feel free to learn me something. I ain’t scared of the learning. I am going to have to get 2 better monitors that match, so any advice on that as well? This won't be included in the $1000.

If a $G$ won’t do it then learn me on that too.

I haven’t built a gaming rig in years so I haven’t been keeping up with hardware configurations.

So should I use multiple ssd’s or Combo of ssd, and hdd?

If I forgot anything let me know. Thanks Community!

This leaves you about $25 for an optical drive if you decide you need one

US? Canada? Australia?

I wouldn't bother with a dual GPU setup as SLI driver support is pretty poor.

Something like this would work well with that GTX 980 ti.

I would step it up to a 8700k + z370 board an get rid of the bluray drive to keep it under 1000.

I live in USA. and it doesn't have to exactly $1000 or under. I'll check this setup out. Does this case and Mobo allow for dual Gpu's?

Case yes, MB no. If you look on PCPer you can see the Z370 motherboards that support SLI however I still wouldn't recommend it as the driver support is pretty terrible. Some games you won't even see an improvement over a single GPU and others the performance could actually be worse then a single GPU. Plus you'll have a higher power consumption and it'll dump more heat into the case.

Alternatively if you want/need more threads albeit at slightly lower gaming performance, you can swap out the processor and motherboard for a ryzen 5 1600x and an Asus ROG STRIX X370-F motherboard for a similar price

lol then disregard my anecdote about swapping if needed. That i5 8600k will suit you just fine then :)
