Upgrade from Pentium to i3 or i5?

Currently, I have an Intel Pentium G3240 (4th gen, LGA 1150, 2C/2T). Currently, it's not looking good. So I'm upgrading.

Should I get an i3 or an i5? I'm wanting to play Rainbow Six Siege and Fortnite.

I think my option would be i5 (whatever you pick cheaper, but higher clock speed can yield better result) with 1050 (2GB or Ti?), i think you're good to go with i5.
Just make sure that you have bios that supports your "new" cpu.

If going for i3- then i would recommend higher clocked ones like mine I3-4170, which in theory should be 70$ (thats how much i paid it).
