New Graphics Card Enough for VR or New PC Needed?

My desktop is over 5 years old now and is not at all VR ready. I had assumed that being this old I'd missed the boat on simply replacing the graphics card and that I would now need a whole new PC. I noticed however when looking online at components, that while graphics cards have improved drastically in 5 years, CPU clock speeds aren't that much more than they used to be.

Question: Would a new graphics card really be all that's needed to use an HTV Vive pro with my PC or have I missed something about advances in other components and I'll need a whole new rig?

Parts: Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU (3.4GHz and I've heard overclockable to well in excess of 4GHz)
Asus Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard
Asus GeForce GTX660 TI-DC2-2GD5 Nvidea Graphics Card
G.Skill 16GB (2x8GB) Dual Channel Ares Series Memory Kit

Solution
Clock speeds aren't everything.
A 3.0 GHz from 5 years ago is not the same as a 3.0 GHz from this year. The latter is faster.

Upgrading the whole system will give you a performance boost in everything, while upgrading the GPU will only result in better performance in games.

You could upgrade just your GPU and if you aren't satisfied, upgrade the rest.
