Hi I'm having troubles with my computer. For some odd reason my computer would randomly at times shut itself off and I would get an error from ASUS - "Asus anti-surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply". I need help I am not sure if it was a faulty PSU or if ASUS is being sensitive. I built this computer almost 2 years ago.

PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 1000W 80Plus Gold Certified Modular Power Supply

i7 5820k
1080 GTX ASUS ROG
ASUS x99A II
Noctua Nh-d15
16GB Ram
NZXT Noctis 450

I am also running 2 monitors if that is necessary to know.

Solution
1. Keep in mind, ASUS Anti-Surge is not preventing any startup problems you are experiencing. It does one thing and one thing only, shut down the computer.
2. Since the voltages from your power supply were low, re-check all your PSU's modular power cables and make sure they are seated properly at both ends.
3. Go to "Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System". Look for any critical errors that may be listed.
4. Go to the EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 product page and select the Support tab. Phone or Email Customer Service and describe the issues you are having. They will offer to RMA your power supply if you can't get your computer working properly.
ASUS Anti-Surge is just extra protection, turn it off. You have one of the best rated PSU's on the market with it's own Over Voltage Protection and a 10 year warranty.

EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 - Hardware circuit protections including:
OVP (Over Voltage Protection)
UVP (Under Voltage Protection)
OCP (Over Current Protection)
OPP (Over Power Protection)
SCP (Short Circuit Protection)

HELP!!! MY COMPUTER FROZE AND MADE A BIG BUZZING NOISE. I restarted it and I couldn't get past the Asus loading screen. I then proceed to restart again and I paniced and was trying to get in to Bio to revert the setting. The mouse froze. On my next attempt I was able to revert my settings for the Anti Surge. my computer went to error code 2A. I proceeded to unplug everything and waited before opening my computer again. By the time my computer gets past bio is would shut off. I have now done a Bio reset on my mother board by clicking the Bios reset button - I assume that is how you do it for the x99 motherboard that I have. I also have reset my CMOS with the 2 jumper pins. I don't know what else to do. I lastly had just attemped to boot my computer. It was trying to do the automatic repair but my computer shut off before it had begun.

** I HAVE RESET THE CMOS AGAIN AND IT WORKS NOW.... WHATS THE NEXT STEP?**

**I am checking the bios Voltage right now and it was red for a good minute under 4.4 to 4.2 but it is now back up to 4.6V constant. Is my PSU really faulty? Should I RMA. I have a 10 year warranty. **

Thanks! I don't know what really happened but I made sure all ends were plugged in and then I changed the spot on the powerbar that the power supply was plugged in to. I am now getting 5.0V stable. I'll update if anything happens. Appreiciate the help everyone.
