8 Pin power connector on 95w cpu?

Hi
what is the motherboard?
The user guide and manufacturers website will list compatible CPU's.
If the motherboard only has a socket for 4 pin ATX 12 Volt plug from the PSU then that is OK for any supported CPU
If the motherboard only supports 65 Watt Intel CPU's then trying a 96 Watt CPU would be a bad idea
