Im pretty new to PCs and dont really know what im doing to much so please bear with me. I like to play video games on my PC but i have a pretty low-tier pre-build PC from iBuyPower. Here are some of my specs.

CPU: AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.8GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 730
RAM: 16gb
Hard Drive: 1tb

I have been told that it would be best for me to bet a better graphics card because i run most of my games on low setting and still bet below 30 frames most of the time, however i have also been told that if i upgrade my GPU it may not be worth it because of my CPU. What should i do?

Solution
Yes as they suggested you, if you upgrade cpu you'll still be better with a new gpu, if you upgrade gpu you get cpu bottleneck. if you don't have the money to buy a new computer, get a new gpu first (if the PSU handles) like 1050ti for example and then change mobo, cpu and memory in a later upgrade.

I recommend you to get the gpu first. There's no point in buying a cpu that's still old. Better get a good gpu and invest a newest gen i3 at least. I have a friend that struggles in newest games because of the low single core performance of the fx 8350.

And you would recommend a 1050ti for the time being
