Greetings,

I am facing a very unusual issue, I have a Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB (2x8GB) @3000Mhz kit and something very strange is happening. One Ram module is not Working/being detected unless its Paired with the other in duel channel configuration. I tested the Ram Kit on 2 different Mobos (Asus Maximus X Formula @ Asus Strix 350F gaming) and i had the same issue on both. I made sure the Ram was plugged properly in the correct dimm slots during each test. I also tested the dimm slots using a different kit and everything worked just fine. Bios is updated to the latest version. I tried Clearing CMOS and that didn't help either. The CPU socket is in perfect condition (not bent pins) and all the cables are plugged in perfectly. I ran windows memory Diagnostics with both modules plugged in and everything checked out just fine. There is no physical damage to the Modules. I tried cleaning the bottom of the Ram modules that is refusing to work and nothing changed, Please note that the other ram module is working perfectly fine on its own, What could be causing this to happen? i looked everywhere for an explanation or a solution and i couldn't find anything. Your help would be appreciated it, thank you.

System Specs:-

Asus Maximus x Formula
Intel i7 8700k
corsair vengeance led 16gb @3000Mhz
NVidia Titan X Pascal
Corsair AX1200i

Check to see if the one stick is even showing up in the bios when both sticks are installed. If that doesnt work then try running a memtest for a couple hours and see if any errors pop up. I know you said windows memory diagnostics came back with no problems but you may want to run memtest just to be safe.

the ram kit you have may only work if it is paired in dual channel configuration. I woyld do that and then try plugging some ram into the other 2 slots just to see what happens
