I can connect to internet normally but when I use proxy sever it says this page can't be reached.

When I try to use proxy server or vpn I lose connection and I can't browse any website.
And when I cancel the proxy there is no problems and connect normally . but I want to use proxy.
So what is the problem and how can I solve it if there is any. I'm using chrome and firefox windows 7 and wifi connection

How are you setting up the proxy server

Any particular guide or tutorial?

E.g., some step-by-step as is presented in the following link:

Is the proxy enabled?

Take a look at all of your settings.

Also consider that there may be a firewall involved.

Thanks for your help
I removed the anti virus and it worked for sites such as google, yahoo and youtube but when
I search for my ip it says waiting for proxy tunnel and page does not load . is this normal and am I invisible and secure?

Please explain "search for my ip"? (Remember - do not post the IP address provided by your ISP.)

What software are you using? What VPN?

Firewalls?
