I fixed the problem and this is no longer an issue. I am unable to delete this post. If a moderator read this please feel free to delete this.

The problem was caused by 4 trojans. I use Malwarebytes, (the paid version that runs all the time), and Avast. I had Malwarebytes scheduled to scan once a day, and Avast scanned once a week. Neither picked the trojans up. I uninstalled both and activated Windows Defender and ran a scan. Defender caught those so that is all I am going to use from now on. I purchased the iBoySoft Data Recovery tool to recover all my files on the E drive. That tool is extremely fast and very easy to use. It is well worth the money in my opinion.

Part of the error message I was getting about "making sure the system drivers are loaded" got me thinking. I checked my system and found that something changed my boot up from Normal to Safe boot where only the necessary system drivers would load. I've never had a problem with my system so I know I didn't change it. It must have been one of the Trojans. I then ran the DISM commands and SCF. It found and fixed the corrupted system files.

The end result is I am back up and running better than ever.

The E: Drive shows up in File Explorer but when I click on it I get:

You need to format the disk in drive E: before you can use it.
The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure all required file system drivers are loaded and the volume is not corrupted.

Disk Management shows E: as Online, 931.51 GB RAW Healthy (Primary Partition). Event Viewer shows no disk errors or events for any disks.

I feel certain that the data is there, and am hoping that maybe the FAT table or something just got corrupted and can easily be repaired. Is there such an animal? :))
The E: drive is my Data/App drive so I need everything on it. I am running a program called TestDisk to attempt to recover the files so I can reformat the drive, but that will be my last resort.

I did have serious issues with the C: and F: drive which I explain below.

BACKGROUND INFO:

After updating the firmware on the C: (OS) drive, I continued to use the system with no problems until I shut the system down and booted the next day. I got the "Operating system failed to load" message.

So I booted from the Win 10 repair disk and tried all the options. The System Image Recovery option found 1 file to use located on my F: drive which is an external 1TB USB drive used for backups. After I began the process I reread the screen and it looked like it was going to restore to the F: drive instead of the C: drive so I immediately stopped it.
I tried to look at the F: drive and was unable to access it. So I plugged it into my old Win XP system and it couldn't see the drive either:)) Then I plugged it back into the Win 10 and I was able to access it with no problem.

I finally ran the bootrec /FixMbr, bootrec /FixBoot, bootrec /ScanOs, and bootrec /RebuildBcd commands on the C: drive and that fixed the failure to boot problem.
