Games crashing on my new first time build. : (

Hello,
About a week ago I built a PC for the first time. So far everything has gone pretty smooth except for one issue I am currently having. I can load up games such as Fortnite, BF4, Escape from Tarkov, but about five minutes or less into any game it will crash. with games like Fortnite and Hell let loose, the unreal engine crash report screen will show up.
Here are my PC specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 1600
ASUS Geforce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Dual-Fan
asrock ab350m pro4 am4 (BIOS 4.70)
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz
EVGA 600 BQ, 80+ BRONZE 600W, Semi Modular
I'm running Windows 10 pro smoothly.

I updated my GPU drivers using Nvidia experience. I cheeked CPU temperature while in game with the AMD Ryzen Master program (never got above 46 C). I updated my mobo bios to the most recent version (4.70). I also tried setting my ram to different frequencies in the BIOS (2133, 2400, 2667,2800).

(Update)
I was recently doing a little more testing to try and uncover the problem. With a game open (Hell let loose), I opened up task manager to see what percent of my memory, CPU, and GPU resources were being used during game play. The task manager showed the GPU at 96%. I continued to monitor this, a couple minutes later it reached 100% and crashed the game.

I'm not really sure what to do next. Would anyone have some ideas which I could try?

Thanks!

Solution
I figured what the problem was! Apparently one of my sticks of ram was bad or not working properly with my mobo. I took out that particular stick of ram and now things seem to be running smoothly (fingers crossed).
Thank you everyone helped me out!

I have tried a few more trouble shooting tactics:
I updated my mobo drivers, switched my ram around, clean GPU driver install, and I also tried an older GPU driver. It seems like some games last a little bit longer before crashing now but they usually still crash after a little time. I checked the system app logs. there are 2 events which are failing around the time of crash. one is "Event 13, nvlddmkm" and the second is "Event 10016 DistributedCOM". There is also a warning for “Event 4101, Display”.
Thanks!

but you didn't monitor temps, clocks, power etc.
do it first

I believe the GPU is running fine. I checked it with the ASUS GPU TweakII program, temperature and fan rotation seem to be completely fine.

The GPU fan speed and temperature remain pretty constant prior to and during crash. However the GPU and Memory clock spikes way up right before the game crashes.

Battlefield 1 will run smoothly in the menu, however after a maximum of a minute into an actual game (if it makes it that far) BF1 will crash. the DirectX error window appears saying "DirectX function 'Dx11 Renderer::tryMap' failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVIDE_REMOVED". It claims that the graphics card has been "physically removed from the system".
