Memory Clock Speed lower than advertised?(MSI GTX 1050 Ti X 4G)

Solution
Msi afterburner shows it as half (for 10 series, other series show actual). 3754x2=7508 so that appears to be a boost clock. Boost will be higher than the boost speed on the spec sheet. It's just how boost works. Spec sheets will always show effective clocks because marketing likes bigger numbers.

Gddr5 is actually quad pumped not double. If you use gpuz, it'll show the actual speed which is 1/4. It also shows what it's set to and what the default setting is. So it should show 1777mhz for both default and current settings if you did not oc.

However you are reading it, you might be getting the base clock rather than the actual memory clock. Any DDR ram runs at double the clock frequency (Double Data Rate) so depending how the software reads it you sometimes get half the speed you expect. Doesn't quite add up with the numbers you quoted but that could be what's happening.

It says 1877 Mhz. So in total it should be 7,508, right? It's overclocked btw.
