Gtx 950 2gb vs gtx 770 2gb in a custom built gaming rig to sell a year from now

What are the pros and cons of the gtx 950 vs gtx 770 2gb models in a custom built gaming rig as far as selling it in the future. I built it myself and want to upgrade it regardless of whether I sell it or not but I’d like to know which to choose as I’m buying two at a time and I have $150 to spend per card maximum and I saw some I can afford on eBay that aren’t cheap crappy Chinese knockoffs

I’m asking more about which gpu will get my rig to sell highest in the next year or two even though they’ll be somewhat old by then

Give in mind it’s built around an Nvida chipset mobo and core 2 quad and windows 7 enterprise 64bit

No, I have no suggestions for better, cheaper GPU's.

If you're going to be using it for a while, buy the one that has the better performance, and fits your current budget.
Of those two, the 770.

I’ll take those odds as I’m more concerned about not giving it away for free than making a bunch off it but one question puzzles me which are people gonna pay more for newer or better??? 770s are higher on the gpu hierarchy than 950s.

In a year or two, neither will be "better".
They will be (and are currently), sub-par.

BETWEEN THE TWO which will get more money? Mind you I’m upgrading anyway next month. If you can find something better Nvida wise for less than $150 per that I can buy two of give me a sign . If not I’m picking one of these!

You only can get what someone else is willing to pay.
The 770 is a better GPU. "better" = "slightly less obsolete".

How will that matter in 2 years? Completely unknown.
Married with that obsolete CPU, and expired OS? $0 difference.

Could I find a non Craigslist sold better pair of cards online for >$140???? If not 770 or 950?? I’m not asking for a lot for the rig I’m just not in a hurry to just give away for free something to built! My friend said he’ll buy it regardless of age he’s desperate for a rig and it’s about a year before I get the gaming laptop (i work as a cashier at McDonald’s and get ssi) but I want it to be worth his time and be something he’ll want but I’m not looking for big money (he lives off ssi only so he’s not paying a lot for it anyway)

There's little point to SLI. If you're spending $300 on GPUs, spend it on *one* GPU.

Or even better, spend $150 on *one* GPU. You're not restoring a classic car here, you have a low income but intend on dumping $300 into a PC that otherwise isn't even worth $100, and it's crazy to spend this much money on GPUs for it. Slap in a 1050, a decent PSU if the current one is garbage, and call it a day.

Except it won't be good. You're held back by the ancient CPU and SLI support is becoming nearly non-existent. Now, I assume you're an adult and it's your money to flush down the toilet, but what you're trying to do here is spending an extra $150 for next-to-no-benefit. I wouldn't suggest a *wealthy* person do what you're trying to do here, let alone for someone who has to make hard decisions with their money.
